The Philodendron 'Congo Rojo' is a man-made hybrid, developed through a planned breeding programme in Florida, selected in 1996 from a cross made the previous year. Its female parent is Philodendron 'Imperial Red', crossed with an unidentified cultivar of Philodendron tatei both hybrids themselves. While its parent plants originated in the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, this cultivar was developed specifically for modern ornamental value and indoor adaptability.

Orders with a live plant ship within 5 business days and only when the forecast along the route is above 40°F; if it isn't, we hold the order and email you. Tracking is sent by email the day it ships. U.S. addresses only.
If something arrives damaged
Email support@plantwell.co with a photo of the item and the box within 7 days of delivery and we'll replace it or refund it. Leucadia and Torrey are guaranteed for life against cracks, chips and leaks; Pacific and Mesa for one year; plants for 60 days from delivery.
Returns
Unused planters can be returned within 30 days. You cover return shipping, we refund the pot. Plants can't be returned, but if yours isn't thriving in the first 60 days, send us a photo and we'll replace it or refund it.
